“Humanitarians have no other purpose than to save and protect lives and deliver the basic necessities of life. No matter the danger. No matter the hardship.”
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) posted the above-mentioned text on its social media to honour the World Humanitarian Day which falls on 19 August. However, the UNOCHA’s actions have raised a question
for the humanitarian crisis of the Myanmar people facing the brutal military coup.

“လူသားချင်းစာနာမှုမှာ အသက်ရှင်သန်မှုကို ကယ်တင်ဖို့၊ ကာကွယ်ဖို့နဲ့ အခြေခံလိုအပ်ချက်တွေကို ပေးအပ်ဖို့ထက် တခြားဘာရည်ရွယ်ချက်မျှ မရှိပါ။ အန္တရာယ်လည်းရှိပါစေ၊ အခက်အခဲလည်း ရှိပါစေ”။
သြဂုတ်လ ၁၉ ရက်တွင် ကျရောက်သည့် ကမ္ဘာ့လူသားချင်းစာနာထောက်ထားမှုဆိုင်ရာနေ့အတွက် ကုလသမဂ္ဂ လူသားချင်းစာနာထောက်ထားမှုဆိုင်ရာ ညှိနှိုင်းရေးရုံး (UNOCHA) က ၎င်းတို့၏ လူမှုကွန်ရက်စာမျက်နှာတွင် ဂုဏ်ပြုဖော်ညွှန်းထားပါသည်။ သို့သော် စစ်အာဏာသိမ်းမှုနှင့် ရင်ဆိုင်ကြုံတွေ့နေရသည့် မြန်မာပြည်သူလူထုအတွက် လူသားချင်းစာနာထောက်ထားမှုဆိုင်ရာ အကျပ်အတည်းအတွက်မူ UNOCHA ၏ လုပ်ဆောင်ချက်များသည် မေးခွန်းထုတ်ခံနေရပါသည်။
ယခုတစ်ပတ် BNI-Myanmar Peace Monitor ၏ အပတ်စဉ်သတင်းသုံးသပ်ချက်တွင် UNOCHA ဒုတိယအကြီးအကဲနှင့် အာဏာသိမ်းစစ်ခေါင်းဆောင်တို့၏ တွေ့ဆုံဆွေးနွေးမှုမှ တွေးဆဖွယ်ရာများကို လေ့လာတင်ပြထားပါသည်။
