Combined force captures police station in Thantlang

A combined force of the Chin National Army (CNA) and the Chinland Defense Force (CDF) captured a police station and seized more than 40 weapons in Thantlang in Chin State at around 2 am on 9 February. Four junta soldiers were killed in the attack.

A combined force of the CNA and CDF- Thantlang raided a police station in Zonemon ward in Thantlang at 9 pm on February 8 and captured it at 2 am, Salai Htet Ni, Spokesperson of the Chin National Front (CNF).

“Around 40 junta soldiers and police members are stationed in the police Thantlang station. We raided the police station at 9 pm and captured it at 2 am. We seized more than 40 weapons and four dead bodies. The rest ran away. We are searching for them in the forest,” said Salai Htet Ni.

The combined force seized more than 40 arms, bombs and anti-drone weapons.

Deputy Captain Aa Thang of the CNA was killed and one wounded.

The military council dropped bombs on the CNA’s small camp and Lonelae village on Vanzan Mountain in Thantlang in the dawn after Thantlang police station was captured, Salai Htet Ni said.

The military council sent its reinforcement from Hakha to Thantlang. Jet fighters are flying there.
