Bomb blast kills three junta soldiers and wounds one civilian in Kalay

Three military council soldiers were killed and one civilian wounded in a bomb blast between the Irrigation Office and Forestry Office in Taungzalat ward in Kalay Township at 11 am on February 7.

A local from Kalay said: “Since the morning, soldiers were present there. Bomb blast occurred at around 11 am, wounding a woman. She got wounds to her leg and chest. I don’t know whether she was seriously wounded or not. Now the Irrigation office road is blocked with tires.”

According to the statement by the Kalay Urban Guerrilla Force, it carried out a mine attack on the military council soldiers stationed at the Irrigation Office and the Forestry Office in Taungzalat ward in Kalay.

In addition to the deaths of three soldiers, two junta soldiers were seriously injured in the attack.

At 8 pm on 3 February, a heavy equipment machine was burned down, at the Irrigation Office and Water Resources Management Office in Taungzalat ward in Kalay.

Over recent days, there have been frequent bomb blasts and shootings near the Irrigation Office and the Forestry Office in Taungzalat ward in Kalay.

On the morning of 6 February, the junta soldiers inspected the people.
