The Revolutionary History of the ABSDF and Its Role in the Spring Revolution. – Issue 78

34 years of revolutionary history. Nearly half of the average lifespan of a human being. The AllBurma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF) Student Army, which emerged from the 1988 popular democratic uprising, has now been in existence for 34 years.

Over time, the ABSDF has experienced all kinds of ups and downs. However, it must be recognized that the ABSDF still adheres to its political goals, such as liberating all ethnic groups from military dictatorship, providing access to democracy and human rights, achieving internal peace, and creating a federal union.

This issue of BNI-Myanmar Peace Monitor’s (MPM) Weekly News Review focuses on the ABSDF, which has a 34-year revolutionary history, and its important role in the Spring Revolution.
