General Secretary – Colonel Sai Ngin (RCSS)

Joint General Secretary – Colonel Saw Kyaw Nyunt (KPC)

Coordinator – U Myo Win

Member Organizations – RSSS/SSA, NMSP, KPC, DKBA, LDU, ALP, PNLO

After the role of the Peace Process Steering Team (PPST), which was formed under the NCA, came to an end, the 7 EAO Alliance was formed with seven Ethnic Armed Organizations that remain neutral in the conflict between the military junta and the Spring Revolution forces. The alliance reportedly continues to adhere to the NCA and aims to establish a federal democratic union with full democracy, national equality, and self-determination.

However, the Arakan Liberation Party (ALP), Lahu Democratic Union (LDU), and Pa-O National Liberation Organization (PNLO), which are members of the 7 EAO Alliance, have had disagreements within their parent organizations, causing them to split into factions that either continue to adhere to the NCA or switch support to resistance forces. Although the groups that remain in the 7 EAO Alliance continue to adhere to the NCA and hold talks with the junta, some have sided with the Spring Revolution forces fighting against the junta in cooperation with local resistance forces.

The 7 EAO Alliance has stated that it will work to resolve the current political crisis in Myanmar through political means and will negotiate with all relevant forces to build a federal democratic union. However, it is not yet clear what their stance is on the new election that the military junta plans to hold. It remains to be seen whether they are waiting for a new parliament and a new government to emerge to continue with the NCA.
