Data Collection and Methodology

  • Methodology: Recording airstrikes as one event per day per township based on news.
  • Note: The actual number of airstrikes may be higher than recorded.

  • Total Number of Civilian Deaths: Total number of civilian deaths caused by airstrikes.
  • Total Number of PDF Deaths: Total number of PDF deaths caused by airstrikes.
  • Civilian Area Events: Total number of recorded airstrike events targeting civilian areas, including but not limited to hospitals, schools, religious sites (e.g., churches, monasteries, pagodas), markets, displacement camps, and other civilian infrastructure.
  • ERO Area Events: Total number of recorded airstrike events targeting areas controlled by Ethnic Resistance Organizations (EROs), including both active combat zones and non-combat areas.
  • Military Junta Area Events: Total number of recorded airstrike events occurring in areas under the control of the military junta, including both active combat zones and non-combat areas.
