Two workers were killed and four others injured in an aerial bombing by the junta at a palm oil plantation near Chaung La Mu village in Tanintharyi Township, Tanintharyi Region, according to resistance forces.

Around 4 p.m. on 24 March, the military council conducted two airstrikes near Chaung La Mu village. The bombs exploded near the barracks of Kyaw Maw-19 Palm Oil Company.

Resistance members reported that two palm oil workers were killed, while three men and one woman were injured in the aerial bombing.

An official from the Myeik District People’s Defense Force said that the military council conducted the aerial bombing, believing there might be resistance forces in the area.

Around 50 palm oil plantation workers were displaced after the collapse of barrack caused by the aerial bombing.

On 3 March, the military council also bombed Thamee Hla village in Tanintharyi Township, injuring three civilians, including two children, and destroying homes.

From 13 and 24 March, intense fighting occurred in Thein Khun, Chaung La Mu, and Chaung Hnit Pauk villages in Tanintharyi Township. The military council carried out at least seven airstrikes in just one week.
