Two displaced people were killed, and three others injured in a shelling by the junta in Chaung La Mu village, Tanintharyi Township, Tanintharyi Region, as they were returning to their homes to retrieve rations.
They reported that at around 2 p.m. on 21 March, the military council indiscriminately fired at least three heavy shells into Chaung La Mu village.
The shells hit and killed Ko Thaung Pu and Ma Mee Mae, and injured three men.

Since 18 December 2024, over 3,000 locals have been displaced by the ongoing daily fighting near the villages of Hton Ma Khar, Yebyu, Thein Khun, and Chaung Hnit Pauk.
