Seven junta soldiers killed in raid on Kazunma police station in Seikphyu

Seven military council soldiers were killed and 15 others wounded in a raid on Kazunma police station in Seikphyu Township, Pakokku District in Magway Region on 4 December, according to the statement by No.1 Military Area Magway Command.

On the morning of 4 December, the joint People’s Defense Force (PDF) raided Kazunma police station.

A member of PDF said: “The police is of military importance as it is located in the middle of three military’s defense industries factories. In the fighting, the military council fired heavy shells and sent the military columns. The joint force was unable to capture Kazunma police station.”

A total of 25 police and soldiers are stationed in the police station. Five military council soldiers and two police members were killed, according to the statement.

The joint force could burn the house of surveillance officer. However, the effort to capture the police station failed as the military council sent reinforcements, the comrade from the ground said.

Pakokku District Battalion Nos.4,11 and19, Minbu District Battalion No.1,2,4,5,6 and 7, Myanmar Defense Force (MDF), Chauk PDF and the Thakhinpholagyi company participated in the joint raid on the police station, the statement says.
