The military council arrested four people from Hiwa village nearly one week after the fighting between the military council and Chin National Front/Chin National Army (CNF/CNA) between Barwa ward and Hiwa village in Sami of Paletwa Township of Chin State, according to locals.
“The military council arrested Hiwa villagers near the outpost yesterday (9 November) after the CNA attacked a military outpost in Sami. The military council took four men to Sami outpost. The detainees are ordinary farmers,” a local from Sami said.
On 4 November, the CNF/CNA ambushed the military council force which returned from the outpost between Barwa ward and Hiwae village in Sami. In the ambush, four military council soldiers were killed and three assault rifles were seized, Salai Htet Ni, Spokesperson of the CNF/CNA confirmed to the Khonumthung Media Group (KMG).
On 9 November, the military council arrested four men from Hiwa village.
In the fighting which took place on 4 November, a mother of a child who got gunshot wounds was sent to Paletwa hospital.
