The military council has extensively used paramotors in Magway Region to conduct aerial bombings, according to locals.
Locals reported that paramotors are being increasingly used by the military council in civilian areas and where battles have occurred.
A local stated, “On the night of 1 February, the junta dropped three incendiary bombs on the houses, one of which was completely destroyed by fire. Today, the junta is still using them.”
Villagers said that around 3 a.m. on 1 February, the military council dropped bombs on houses in Yae Yin village, Pwintbyu Township, three times using a paramotor.
On the same day, the military council carried out bombings in the northern area of Seikphyu using paramotors.
Locals from Magway and Minbu said they had seen paramotors flying in the sky since around 8 a.m. on 1 February.
The military council is extensively using paramotors only in plain areas, and a member of the defense force said that they could be shot down with a Point 5.
According to locals, until around 11:30 a.m. on 1 February, the military council sent its paramotors to the northwest of Magway airbase.
