Junta bombs Swal Lwal village in Htilin Township twice

The military council’s jet fighters bombed twice near Swal Lwal village in Htilin Township of Magway Region, locals told Than Lwin Times.

On 7 June, the military council conducted an airstrike near Swal Lwal village citing that the PDFs were present there, locals said.

A local said: “PDF battalions are present there. There may be some damages. The latest situation is exactly unknown. I can’t contact the people there. The scout plane is flying following the airstrike. The jet fighter from TadaU airport dropped four bombs at around 3 pm.”

In 2023, the military council conducted more than ten airstrikes in Htilin Township of Magway Region. It conducted airstrikes for two consecutive days on 6 and 7 June, locals said.

On 20 April, three staff were killed and 12 others wounded (four seriously wounded) in the military council’s airstrike on the public administrative office in Laungbolay village.

Following the coup, the military council conducted 1,427 airstrikes across the country. The airstrikes killed 634 civilians, according to the Nyan Lynn Thit Analytica, a research group.
