Albino Tiger Column camp in Mon State ravaged by air strikes

The junta’s air force has reportedly flown airstrikes on the Albino Tiger Column camp between Ye and Thanbyuzayat Townships in Mon State.

According to a statement from the resistance column, the regime first attacked the Column 2 office and the positions of Companies 1 and 2 with fighter jets at around 11 pm on 7 May and with an Mi-35 attack helicopter at around 12 pm on 8 May.

The airstrikes killed one woman and two men from the column and injured four others.

In addition, some residents of Wah Pa The village were wounded and some houses were damaged, locals reported. However, IMNA was still trying to confirm details of the claim.

According to locals, the airstrikes forced hundreds of people from Wah Pa The and neighboring villages to flee to safety.

According to reports, the area where the bombing took place was in the territory of Karen National Union (KNU) Brigade 6.

The military regime flew 30 airstrikes on Ahlu village in KNU Brigade 6 area in April, damaging nearly 400 houses, including schools, monasteries, churches and clinics, and burning 12 houses to the ground, a statement from KNU – Doopalaya District said.

The statement also said that the regime’s airstrikes have displaced more than 23,000 people in the area, while junta forces have committed daily crimes and human rights violations in the KNU-Brigade 6 area.
