Two medics from the frontline emergency team were killed in the military council’s airstrike on 7 April, according to the statement released by the Karenni State Consultative Council (KSCC) on 11 April.

In the statement, the Health Committee of the KSCC said it recorded and honoured two members as martyrs and heroes.

When the Kantarawaddy Times (KT) phoned officials of the KSCC about the fallen heroes, they replied that it is impossible for the KSCC to release information about it, at present.

Following intense fighting, the military council is making heavy reliance on airstrikes.

Five civilians were killed in the military council’s airstrikes in March, according to the statement released by the Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF) on 3 April.

In March, the military council’s helicopters flew over the townships in Karenni State more than 52 times.
