Some social and rescue organizations in Tanintharyi Region suspend their operations

Some social organizations in Tanintharyi Region have decided to suspend their operations as they face the difficulty in their survival during one and half years of the coup, the officials of the social and rescue organizations told the Than Lwin Times.

The temporary suspension comes after the skyrocketing fuel prices and a decline in funds.

Zabuthiri Organization, the biggest organization in Dawei District which was established nine years ago, announced on August 11st that it temporarily suspended its free-of-charge works due to the fuel difficulty and a shortage of funds

Most of the rescue organizations find it difficult to survive as they face a general crisis after the coup, an official of the social and rescue organization.

Social organizations face difficulty in its rescue operations due to the military council’s tightened rules.

Soon, most of the social rescue organizations may suspend their operations, according to the officials of the organizations.
