The army conducted door-to-door checks in the houses and seized Tumi guns and money in Lung Sha Yang village in Putao Township, on July 5th, citing the order from above.
About the inspection of the village by more than 30 soldiers at around 11 am on July 5th, a local who declined to be named said: “The army searched my house and took Ks-3,000 put in my bag used when I go to Church. The army also seized two Tumi guns from my neighboring families. I don’t know what the army takes in other wards as the army is checking the whole village.”
