One man killed, three including two children wounded in Tonzang battle

One civilian was killed and a woman and two children wounded in a battle in Tonzang of Chin State on the morning of 2 August.

Fighting took place between the combined Chinland Defense Forces (CDFs) and the military council force from around 4 am on 2 August.

The police station fired shots at a couple living near the police station as they tried to escape by motorbike after the battle. U Man Shan Kyein, 27, was killed in the shooting while his wife got a serious wound to her abdomen. The wounded woman was sent to the hospital, according to locals.

In the fighting, the heavy shelling hit and wounded an eight-year old child and a 12-year-old child, locals said.

Comrade Lalramchuana from CDF-Hualngoram was killed and three others wounded in the battle in Tonzang. The military council suffered casualties in the battle. But the exact number of casualties is still unknown, according to local news sources.
