The junta soldiers carried out indiscriminate firing of light and heavy weapons after a military convoy was ambushed between Namowan village and Twanmon village in Namsalat village-tract at around 6 pm on October 6, according to locals.
“Last night, the junta soldiers from a military vehicle fired heavy and light weapons as a military convoy leaving for Theinni to Namsalat faced two mine attacks. The shelling killed a man from Namowan village and injured two people from Twanmon village and one from Panthee village,” a local from Namsalat told the Shan News.
