Locals are facing a lot of difficulties as the people in the northern Chin State and Kalay Township in Sagaing Region are facing mobile phone blackouts, a local from Kalay said.
“Due to phone blackouts, we cannot get real-time information. We have to contact workers through the phone. Due to the phone blackout, I myself have to go to the worksites by car and motorbike. I have to spend fuel and am tired. I face a delay,“said a person who leads the worksite in Kalay.
The regions have no access to the MPT and Telenor phone lines for seven consecutive days. The people have no access to mobile data as well as to mobile phone lines.
Only those who have installed fiber internet lines can use the internet.
Hakha, Falam and Tedim Townships in northern Chin State face phone blackouts and slow wifi connection, according to locals.
“It has been a long time since we cannot use MPT and Telenor mobile phone lines. But we can still use the Ooredoo mobile phone line. We are not convenient. We face a lot of difficulties due to phone blackouts,” a local from Tedim said.
