“The troops arrived at the IDPs. They forced the people in the IDP camp to fetch water and cook rice. They also threatened the IDPs and extorted money from the IDPs,” he added.
In addition to the violations of human rights at the IDP camps, the army took rice and chicken and pigs in the villages of Demawsoe Township, he continued.
The army destroyed the rural clinics run by the ethnic armed organizations for locals and took medicines, according to the KCSN.
There have been the army’s violations of human rights in the remote villages in ethnic regions. After the military coup, the army commits violations of human rights even in the cities, ethnics said.
After the military coup, there have been fighting between the army and ethnic armed organization and between the army and the People’s Defense Force (PDF).
Due to the killings, arrests and tortures of locals and getting injuries in the fighting, locals have fled to safer places. Fleeing locals are facing many difficulties including accommodation and the availability of foods.
