Since this morning in Tamu, Sagaing Region, which is along India-Myanmar Border, more than 200 locals escaped to India because the military junta attacked the People’s Defense Forces by using a lot of forces and inspected the suspicious houses.

One local from Tamu stated that a six-year-old child was gun-shot and one youth was tied to the lamp-post. The military junta seized any young man if he was on the streets.

“Military operation was made at the 7/8 Marketplace of Tamu. They entered and searched each and every house. They tied, beat, seized or detained the suspicious persons. More than 200 locals had already evaded to India,” said one Local from Tamu.

The military raided the compound of Grace Hospital and they beat the nurses brutally. Besides, Tamu Methodist Church was also investigated.

It is assumed that Tamu had been seriously attacking by using a lot of forces since 18 members of the military junta killed in the previous fighting of Tamu on April 10.
