Karenni Generation Z Army (KGZ Army) offered a cash reward of Ks-3 million to a private who joined the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM), according to an official of the KGZ.
Two months ago, we wanted to implment a plan to offer cash reward to defectors. We have collected the public’s money to reward defectors. We offer cash reward when they defect to us, the official said.
On November 5th, he defected to the KGZ along with a gun, three magazines and 200 bullets. The defector is a 21-year-old private from Loikaw Military Hospital.
“We offered a cash reward of Ks-3 million to him as he defected to the KGZ along with weapons. We plan to help him go to the place where he wants. At present, he is still in our hands.”
The total number of soldiers who defected to the KGZ along with weapons in Karenni State has reached four.
Some soldiers defected to the KGZ without taking any weapons, according to the KGZ.
