A 17-year-old youth was killed and at least three youths wounded in the indiscriminate shooting by soldiers and police on patrol, in Tedim of Chin State at around 8 pm on April 27th, a local said.
“Soldiers and police indiscriminately shot some youths who were on the way back home assuming that they were the members of the People’s Defense Force (PDF). A youth was killed in the shooting. A staff from Mytel company got the wound to his urine bladder. A youth got a wound to his hip. Another one got a wound to his leg,” a local from Tedim said.
The youth killed in the shooting is Ko Khaing Hlyan Maung. He died from a gunshot wound in front of the Baptist Church in Myoma ward in Tedim.
At night on April 28th, the sounds of gunfire were heard in Myoma ward and Lwalbwar ward. In addition, the sounds of gunfire and explosions were heard near No.269 military hill, for around 30 minutes.
