Five persons including a pregnant teacher burned alive in Yesgyo

The military council troops raided an outpost of the N-YSO Guerrilla Force in Yesagyo Township in Magway Region and burned five people including three staff who joined the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) alive, on June 11th, according to the statement by the N-YSO on June 15th.

The victims burned to death by the military council are: School head U Win Kyaw who joined the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM), teacher Daw Khin Hnin Wai with five months of pregnancy, staff nurse Daw Zarli Naing and logistics comrade Ma Thae Ei Ei Win and comrade Wukong.

“Now we are severely depressed. But we will not lose heart. We will make more efforts to root out the dictatorship for our fallen comrade. One hundred will come out when one member is killed, an official of the N-YSO Guerrilla Force told the Than Lwin Times.

He called on the public and organizations to help each other and join hands in order to avoid such a case in future.

On June 14th, the order letter was read out for the victims. The bodies of those killed were cremated.

At around 3 am on June 10th, the military council raided the outpost of the N-YSO Guerrilla Force with three military columns. The defense force carried out a preemptive attack with mines.

Around 15 soldiers of the military council including a warrant officer were killed and many others wounded in the fighting.
