Elderly Woman with Disability Shot Dead by Junta Soldiers on Kalay-Falam Road

Two disabled people were reportedly killed by troops of the State Administration Council (SAC) in Falam township, Chin State.

The military council troops, who were on the advance from Kalay to Falam, shot dead 63-year-old Daw Tarl Kap (hearing impaired) in Varlon Village on June 30th, but the villagers found her body only on July 3rd.

Villagers found the body of Daw Tarl Kap, who had died of gunshot wounds, somewhere in the jungle after the junta force with more than 20 military vehicles camped at Varlon Village on June 30th before moving on to Falam, according to locals.

Also, on July 2nd, the junta troops reportedly killed Vum Lian Thang, a man whose lower body was paralyzed, by tying his hands behind his back and dragging him along the ground.

It is reported that the regime troops camped at Var village near Manipur River on the night of June 3rd.
