Military junta forces are raiding and ransacking Ma De village in Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region, according to local sources.
Residents said a column comprising 150 junta troops and Pyu Saw Htee members advanced from the Me Za Li Police Station towards Ma De village on 23 June.
“They’re looting villagers’ belongings in Ma De. Some residents who couldn’t escape have been arrested. Those who managed to flee are hiding,” said a local resident.
In addition to the 150-strong junta column, Pyu Saw Htee members from Kyaung Kone Gyi village have also entered Pay Taw Kyaung Kone village.
Furthermore, another junta column has advanced from Kyaung Kone Gyi through Yae Poke Ka Lay village toward Ma De, resulting in three separate columns converging on the village.
Fearing potential clashes amid these military movements, residents from Ka Ni, Ma De, Inn Gone, Htoo Pauk, Htein Aing, and Nyaung Pin Waing villages have fled to nearby villages where they have relatives or acquaintances.
