The ANC/AA is also a member of the Arakan National Policy Coordination Committee (ANPCC), which includes the Arakan Liberation Party (ALP), Arakan National Party (ANP), Arakan League for Democracy (ALD), Arakan Front Party (AFP), and other civil society organizations. The ANC/AA opposes the 2021 military coup and is fighting alongside the KNU’s Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) in the areas where it is based, taking part in offensives to seize junta positions. It also conducts military operations in collaboration with the People’s Defense Forces (PDFs) under the National Unity Government (NUG) and the KNLA. The ANC/AA’s Commander-in-Chief has stated that his organization is ready to cooperate with any organization to build a federal democratic union and establish a federal army.
