Combined force attacks inspection gate in Mindon

The military council may suffer casualties in the attacks on the inspection gate and military post in Mindon Township of Magway Region, according to the statement by the Thayet District Battalion-4.

On the morning of 14 March, the combined force attacked the military council’s 5-mile inspection gate on Pathein-Monywa Road, with a 40-mm grenade launcher.

“They (army) have deployed forces and tightened inspection. I have not heard the news about the detention of civilians. This is the second attack,” Ko Myat, information officer of Thayet District Battalion-4 (Eagle Force) told the Than Lwin Times.

He also said that on the same day the People’s Defense Force (PDF) attacked the inspection gate in Sapartan village with two drones and grenades.

There were no reports of casualties in an attack on 5th mile inspection gate. The PDF is unable to confirm the casualties in the attack in Sapartan village although the casualties from the army are reported.

The combined force could withdraw without any casualties although the military shot us back, he told the Than Lwin Times.

The Defense Ministry of the National Unity Government (NUG), No.1 Military Region Thayet District Battalion-4 (Eagle Force), Moegyo Guerrilla Force and the Student Armed Force (S.A.F) jointly carried out the attack.
