Hercule, the head of the People’s Revolution Alliance (PRA)-Magway, said they attacked with heavy weapons Ka Pa Sa-14 (Defense Industries Directorate), which is under the military council notorious in the area for arbitrary arrests and assault of locals.
Two columns of PRA-Magway fired heavy weapons at the Ka Pa Sa-14 ammunition factory in Ngape Township on 9 February.
“We had heard that the junta soldiers from the factory were unjustly arresting and beating people at their checkpoint. Our secret informants inside the military told us that they had suffered a serious setback,” Hercule told Than Lwin Times.
The local resistance group attacked the regime’s defense factory with two unguided rockets and a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG), though the number of casualties has not yet been confirmed.
The resistance group also attacked vehicles carrying regime troops with cluster mines between Gotegyi and Myay Latt village in Ngape Township on 1 January, causing casualties.
In addition, a joint People’s Defense Forces (PDFs) force launched a raid on the Salin-Kanpya police station at around 11 pm on 1 February, injuring at least five junta members.
