The military council killed a 19-year-old People’s Defense Force (PDF) member in Salin Township in Magway Region on the evening of December 4, locals told the Than Lwin Times.
The military council abducted three PDF members. Of them, the youngest PDF member was shot dead by Salin Township Police Station.
The detainees are Yenangyaung PDF members. Junta soldiers arrested them in Salin and Pwintbyu Townships, a local told the Than Lwin Times.
The military council has tightened security and deployed more soldiers on the Salin-Pwintbyu road section and along Pathein-Monywa road.
The junta soldiers arrested the youth who was shot dead near Salin Township General Administration Office along with two long guns and hand-made mines.
Since the coup, the total number of the civilians who are brutally killed by junta soldiers has reached 2,561, according to the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP).
