An unknown armed group attacked Ye District court at the cargo handling office at the corner of Bogyoke and Kyonepat road in Yangyiaung ward in Ye Township of Mon State, on the afternoon of September 9th, according to locals.
The armed group fired four rounds of M.40 and 30 rounds of small arms at Ye District court near No.2 road in Aungthukha ward, at around 11.45 am, a person close to Ye Myoma Police Station told the Mon News Agency (MNA).
The armed group arrived here by car and fired shots at the District Office from about 60 yards.
Some windows and the office building of Ye District court were damaged in the shootings. There were no reports of casualties, he said.
Ye Belu force, a local defense force, uploaded on facebook that it carried out the attacks as Ye District Administrator U San Min challenged that he shall arrest the members of local defense forces.
At around 6.30 pm on September 8th, a hand-made bomb exploded near Ye District court, the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security and the Office of Township Inland Cargo Handling Committee at the corner of Bogyoke Road and Kyonepat Road in Yangyiaung ward.
Likewise, an unexploded hand-made bomb was seized near the door of the office of the Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) at the corner of Banyintnaung road, according to those who are close to the police.
Ye District General Administration Department was opened on July 1st and Ye District Court on September 1st in Mon State.
