The Freedom People Force has led a protest in Pwintbyu Township in Magway Region against the Chinese government supporting the coup regime in Myanmar.
They protested against China’s support for the State Administration Council (SAC) which is torching villages and massacring people across Myanmar.
“As a country that supports the military council, China should listen to the will of the people of Myanmar. What is the will of the people? If something happens to China’s interests, China must now decide who will take responsibility,” Ko Lin Kyar, who led the protest, told Than Lwin Times.
He also said that due to the current political situation, the people of Myanmar have clearly identified who are friends and who are enemies.
People are now protesting against China siding with the repressive military council, and they have also launched boycott movements against Chinese products and China’s interests.
The protesters demanded four points: China, the will of the people is now crystal clear. China, do not side with the murderous military. It is time for China to distinguish between friend and foe. China, respect the will of the people of Myanmar.
The Freedom People Force is a group that brings together people from Magway and Sagaing regions. It also held a protest rally in Ngaphe Township in Magway Region on August 7th.
