The junta troops burned down almost all houses in Tar village on Falam-Hakha road in Chin State since 11 am on July 9th, according to a villager.
They torched all houses in the village except seven houses. We saw the burning of our village from other village this morning as we are hiding in the forests, he adds.
Tar village is located about 14 miles from Falam Township. The village has around 41 households including the staff quarters. The villagers are taking shelter in the forests.
The junta troops looted the houses in Loneyan village in Falam Township.
On July 29th, a military column of 27 military vehicles left Kalay for Hakha. Now the military column is present between Falam and Hakha.
On July 8th, there were three clashes between the junta troops and a combined force of the Chin National Army (CAN) and the local defense force near Htalanyaw village, resulting in the death of soldiers.
In October, 2021, the junta troops torched 11 houses in Tar village.
