At least four houses were destroyed by the heavy shells fired by the military council troops in Tedim of Chin State on June 12th, according to a local from Tedim.
“Last night, the military fired heavy shells for around one hour. I don’t know the number of casualties yet. Heavy shells destroyed many houses. Heavy shells directly hit around five houses while the glass windows of some houses were broken. One heavy shell landed in front of a house did not explode,” a local from Tedim says.
The military council troops carried out indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons into the downtown after an exchange of fighting between local defense forces and the military council troops which are stationed at the police station and No.1 Basic Education High School (BEHS) in Myoma ward in Tedim at night on June 13th.
At night on June 12th, there was a clash in downtown Kalay. The heavy shells fired indiscriminately by the military council landed on Sanmyo, Tarhan and Taungzalat wards, damaging the houses. However, the detailed information is still unknown.
