KNDF detains three soldiers posing as civilians in Pekon Township

The Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF) has detained three plainclothes soldiers who posed as civilians in Karenni State, an official of the KNDF B-03 said.

On May 9th, they were detained in Warrisupalaing in Pekon Township in the KNDF B-03-controlled area.

Three detainees are from Division-66 of the military council. They were handed over to the Karenni State Police (KSP), an official of the KNDF B-03.

“We transferred them to the KSP. The KSP will continue to interrogate them,” he added.

Since May 9th, the KNDF B-03 has been carrying out the inspection of military-manufactured products in its controlled area.

“We seized beer boxes last night. We crushed seized beers by car,” he added.

In late April, the KNDF B-03 issued a notification letter calling on the public to boycott the military-manufactured and China-made products, in Pekon, Moebye, East bank, Gaungei, Yeenwe, Yeeloneyee, Pinlaung and Paunglaung village-tracts in Pekon Township.
