Three Brotherhood Alliance have vowed to help support the BPLA (Bamar People’s Liberation Army) which is fighting against the military council, according to the message sent by the alliance group to the ceremony to mark one-year anniversary of the BPLA, on April 17th.

“We shall help support the BPLA as much as we can in order that it can achieve its military and political goals. The Three Brotherhood Alliance is made up of the United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA), the Palaung State Liberation Front/ Ta’ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) and the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA)-Kokang.

“We expect that it can implement its future goal aspired by the entire Myanmar people, stand with all ethnic people including the Bamar race who have been living under the oppressive rules for many years and adopt stable policies. In the New Year, we pray for you to become an organization which can work for the country and the people with upright stances.

“They have the political goals such as the overthrow of the military dictatorship, ensuring all Bamar people to escape from the oppressive life, ending chauvinism, ensuring equality and self-determination and safeguarding the freedom of the entire people and them from the armed groups. The revolutionary organizations which represent the Bamar race emerge in the Spring Revolution share the same common goal with the ethnic armed revolutionary organizations. The BPLA is one of these organizations which emerged during the Spring Revolution,” the statement says.

The BPLA established on April 17th, 2021, has won trust from some Bamar people and Ethnic Revolutionary Organizations (EROs). We value and recognize the efforts made by the leaders of the BPLA and each member as it could build a qualified, disciplined revolutionary armed organization which can systematically engage in the fighting in a short period of time, the statement says.

The Three Brotherhood Alliance is composed of the northern alliance ethnic armed group including the United Wa State Army (UWSA). They are the members of the Federal Political Negotiation and Consultative Committee (FPNCC).
