We will resist the junta troops if bullets run out, the division commander of the Chinland Defense Force (CDF)-Kanpetlet said.
“The military council troops are marching to Kanpetlet Township using the excessive forces. CDF-Kanpetlet is making resistance to the junta troops by means of the withdrawal system due to a shortage of arms and bullets,” he said.
“Now we are making resistance as much as we can, using the arms we have. However, we face a shortage of bullets. Our defense faces a lot of difficulties. I don’t why the military council is marching to Kanpetlet. Our defense force has prepared for the resistance using Tumi rifles if bullets run out,” he continued.
“Three military columns are marching to the battalion of the CDF -Kanpetlet. There was a clash between the military council troops and the CDF-Kanpetlet on March 4th, leaving seven soldiers of the military council dead. The junta troops are heading to Kanpetlet,” the division commander of the CDF-Kanpetlet said.
On February 28th, fighting took place between the military council’s troops and the CDF-Kanpetlet in Masartwit village in Kanpetlet Township and Swelwekyin village in Saw Township, killing ten soldiers of the military council.
The military collected the remains of the soldiers killed in the fighting at a roadside hut and then burned these remains along with the hut, according to the statement by the CDF-Kanpetlet.
