The Arakan Army (AA) praises the fighting prowess of the People’s Defense Forces (PDFs) which are making armed resistance against the military council, said U Khaing Thu Kha, Spokesperson of the AA.
“When we talk about the fighting prowess of the PDFs, I can’t help commending their dauntless courage,” he said.
However, he suggested that the skills of the PDFs would improve if they systematically maintained their disciplines and organizing.
“Currently, the AA recognizes the revolutionary forces and their efforts with a spirit of liberation from the military dictatorship. I feel sympathy for the oppressed people in the plain areas. I recognize their efforts to liberate themselves from the oppression.
Youths who defy the military coup have formed local defense forces in townships across the country to make resistance against the military council troops.
Intense fighting is taking place in Sagaing Region, Kachin State, Chin State, Kayah State and Karen State.
