Charred skeletons of the victims found near Thanpho village in Kalay

Charred skeletons of the persons killed by the military council troops near a hut near Thanpho village in the south of Kalay Township. The victims are assumed to be a woman and her two daughters from Chaungkhwa village, according to the statement by Chiland Defense Force-Kalay-Kabaw-Gangaw (CDF-KKG).

On February 23rd, the military council troops arrested three persons from a hut in Chaungkhwa village in the south of Kalay Township. They have been missing till now.

According to some locals and eyewitnesses, the sounds of three gunfire were heard from a hut in a farm in the east of Thanpho village. The junta troops torched the hut, according to the statement by the CDF-KKG.

At around 11 am on February 24th, the members of the CDF-KKG and the CNDF found charred bones only. The victims are assumed to be a 40-year-old woman and her two daughters aged 16 and 14, according to the CDF-KKG.

According to the evidence and information, the junta troops shot and killed a woman and her two daughters. Then they burned the victims and the hut, the CDF-KKG.

On February 24th, a refugee was killed as the military council troops fired light and heavy weapons into Thanpho and Yanggyiaung villages.
