Fighting between the junta troops and a combined force of Chinland Defense Forces (CDFs) continues to intensify near Hiangzing village on Kalay-Tedim Road in Tedim Township of Chin State as the junta troops are conducting an offensive using jet fighters and artillery.
The spokesperson of the People’s Defense Force (PDF)-Zoland said: “Since around 7 am on January 24th, the junta troops constantly fired around 20 arounds of heavy shells into Hiangzing village from the compound of Kalay University with three artillery rounds. At around 8.30 am, the junta troops conducted attacks by two helicopters.”
Around 100 soldiers are stranded near Hiangzing village.
The junta troops fired heavy weapons and conducted airstrikes in order that the stranded troops may march to Theinngin village.
Following the airstrikes and artillery shelling, the stranded troops are advancing towards Theinngin village.
Fighting continues to intensify between the junta troops and the Chinland Defense Force.
At the same time, the junta troops based in Tedim are heading to Kalay via Teedim.
It is assumed that the junta troops may attack the CDFs from the east and the west.
At least 15 soldiers of the military council were killed in a raid on the military outpost near Hiangzing village by the Chinland Defense Force at midnight on January 23rd.
