The military council’s troops killed a 48-year-old man from Seesan village located at the foot of Chin mountain in the south-west of Kalay by stabbing to the neck, on November 16th.
U Byat Nay Hsan was found dead of a gunshot wound to his head and a knife wound to his neck, near the camp of the company under Battalion-3 of the People’s Defence Force (PDF)-Kalay which was raided by the military council’s troops on November 16th.
On November 14th, U Byat Nay Hsan spent one night at the elephant foot yam plantation alone. His family phoned him to go back home. The military council’s troops killed him on his way back home.
The villagers brought back his body on November 20th. He is a father of four children. Currently, his family members are taking shelter in downtown Kalay.
On November 16th, fighting took place between the military council and a combined force of the PDF Kalay and Chin National Defence Force the whole day.
After the fighting, the people from Myaunghla, Myaungsone, Sintaw, Shartaw, Seesan, Thoneain, Myaungmya and Second villages have fled to safer places.
