A woman killed, five civilians including children severely injured by the military’s indiscriminate firing in Moebye

A woman was killed and five civilians including children were injured on October 24th, due to the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons by the terrorist military council’s troops in Seekar Ward-1 in Moebye Township on Shan-Karenni border, according to a person who is helping the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

Among five wounded victims are a four-year-old child and a one-year-old child from Seekar ward-3. Three wounded civilians are in critical condition apart from two children.

A person who is helping the IDPs said: “Due to the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, the houses owned by the people are damaged. The people are also killed. At present, the military council’s troops are still firing heavy weapons at a long-range. Some civilians were injured,”

At around 7 am, the military council’s troops entered downtown Moebye by firing heavy and light weapons.
