KNU Concerned Group (KCG) will help support administrative, military, political and diplomatic affairs of the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG) based on the current political landscape, said its Spokesperson Padoh Naw Zipporah Sein.
“What we can do is diplomatic affairs. We are working on the advocacy for the international recognition of the NUG. Regarding the administrative affairs, we are helping the NUG build up a federal union. With regard to the military affairs, at present, ethnic armed revolutionary organizations are fighting against the military council. This is the revolutionary period. We can carry out same security affairs in the revolution,” she added.
In the statement issued on September 2nd, the KCG said it welcomed and supported the CRPH and the NUG as the NUG’s political stand to end the military dictatorship and build up a federal democracy is similar to our ethnic armed revolutionary organizations’ goal of ensuring ethnic equality, self-determination and a federal union.
Naw Zipporah Sein said: “The NUG’s political stand is to end the military dictatorship and build up a federal democracy. It is synonymous with the political stand of ethnic armed revolutionary organizations. The goal of the ethnic armed revolutionary organizations is to ensure ethnic equality, self-determination and to build up a federal union. The KCG will support the NUG as much as it can.”
The KCG also called on all ethnic armed revolutionary organizations and people’s defense forces to unitedly fight against the military council to end the military dictatorship and to build up a federal democratic union, along with the Spring Revolution.
The KNU Concerned Group (KCG) led by Former KNU Vice-Chair Padoh Naw Zipporah Sein was formed in June, 2017. Since then, it has been issuing statements about their concerns and stand over the peace process, based on the political situation.
