Since the afternoon of July 9th, the military has been bombarding the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and the People’s Defense Force (PDF) in Myohla village of Shwegu Township, with two fighter jets.
About the army’s bombardment on the KIA and the PDF in Talonekwin village in Oukchithit village-tract, a local said: “The army fired more than 30 grenades with fighter jets. Six members from the KIA and the PDF have been killed. Among those killed is a military officer from the KIA. The fighting continues till now.”
According to some news from KIA frontline, the Light Infantry Division-88 which entered Myohla, suffered heavy casualties due to the joint attack by the KIA and the PDF.
The place where the army bombards is the area controlled by the KIA Brigade-8.
