Family members of prisoners said that the military council will resume suspended prison visits in the military-controlled jails and prisons across the country starting from 24 October. The military council continued to ban the prison visitation suspended since March 2020 due to the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, until more than two and a half years of the military coup.
The military council has yet to issue any official statement on the resumption of the “prison visits” and has tightened restrictions for the persons who will visit the prisons.

ကန့်သတ်ထိန်းချုပ်မှုများဖြင့် စစ်အုပ်စု၏ ထောင်ဝင်စာတွေ့ဆုံခွင့်
စစ်အာဏာသိမ်းမှုနှင့်အတူ နိုင်ငံတဝှမ်းလုံးရှိ စစ်အုပ်စု၏ထိန်းချုပ်ခံ အကျဉ်းထောင်၊ အချုပ်ထောင်များ အတွင်း အကျဉ်းချခံနေရသူများနှင့် ထောင်ဝင်စာတွေ့ဆုံခွင့်ကို ၂၀၂၃ ခုနှစ် အောက်တိုဘာ ၂၄ ရက်မှ စတင်ပြီး ခွင့်ပြုပေးတော့မည်ဟု အကျဉ်းကျခံနေကြရသူများ၏ မိသားစုဝင်များမှတဆင့် ကြားသိရပါသည်။ ကိုဗစ်ကပ်ရောဂါကြောင့် ၂၀၂၀ ပြည့်နှစ် မတ်လကစပြီး ပိတ်ပင်ခဲ့သော အကျဉ်းသူ၊ အကျဉ်းသားများနှင့် ထောင်ဝင်စာ တွေ့ဆုံခွင့်ကို စစ်အာဏာသိမ်းကာလ ၂ နှစ်ခွဲကျော်လာသည်အထိ အာဏာသိမ်းစစ်အုပ်စုက ဆက်လက်ပိတ်ပင်ထားခဲ့ခြင်း ဖြစ်သည်။
အာဏာသိမ်းစစ်အုပ်စုအနေဖြင့် “ထောင်ဝင်စာတွေ့ဆုံခွင့်” ပြန်လည်ခွင့်ပြုခြင်းကို တရားဝင် သတင်းထုတ်ပြန်ခြင်း မရှိသေးသလို ထောင်ဝင်စာတွေ့ဆုံမည့်သူများ လိုက်နာရမည့်အချက်များကိုလည်း တိုးမြှင့်ကန့်သတ်ထားသည်ကို တွေ့ရပါသည်။
ယခုတပတ် BNI-Myanmar Peace Monitor ၏ အပတ်စဉ်သတင်းသုံးသပ်ချက်တွင် ကန့်သတ်ထိန်းချုပ်များ ဖြင့် စစ်အုပ်စု၏ ထောင်ဝင်စာတွေ့ဆုံခွင့်ကို အကျဉ်းထောင်ဆိုင်ရာ ဥပဒေအကြောင်းအချက်များကို ထောက်ရှုကာ ချဉ်းကပ်တင်ပြထားပါသည်။
