More than 50 locals arrested following synchronized attacks on offices in Launglon

The military council arrested more than 50 locals following synchronized attacks on the police station, the military intelligence office and the immigration office in Launglon Township of Tanintharyi Region, locals told the Than Lwin Times.

On the afternoon of 23 May, the combined Dawei Guerrilla Force attacked three offices at the same time.

On the same day, the military council arrested Ko Nay Hlaing Oo, Ma Thet Thet Aye and her husband from Launglon Ward-A and Ma Swe Zin Htet from Ward-B.

On 24 and 25 May, the military council arrested men, women and even LGBT people from the liquor stores, motorcycle repair shop, betel shop and steel shops from Ward-A and Ward-B in Launglon.

The detainees are being interrogated at Launglon Myoma Police and the interrogation center of the military council. Some detainees are released.

The deputy head of Immigration Office was killed in the attacks.
