International Steps for the Spring Revolution – Issue 84

More than 22 months have now passed since the military coup. Thousands of civilians have lost their lives to the terrorist acts of the military trying to seize power. As the civil war spreads, millions of people have fled their homes. More than 38,000 civilian homes have been reduced to rubble by the wanton arson of the military council’s army in various mountainous regions and plains where the resistance war is being waged. The military regime is still trying in various ways to achieve success in its coup attempt.

Amid concern and panic, the international community’s move to put pressure on the military junta has had a lively moment this week. It can be seen that they are trying to show more clearly that they stand with the people of Myanmar against the military coup and military dictatorship. This issue of Burma News International (BNI) – Myanmar Peace Monitor (MPM) Weekly News Review examines the international community’s steps taken for the Spring Revolution.
